Upcoming Events

Sup filmmakers!
Here's a wee lowdown of what's happening in the near future:

Tuesday 28th Feb, Boyd Orr building, room 412:
Q&A with director and writer Colin Kennedy (I Love Luci) and producer Brian Coffey, an event hosted by Ian Robertson.

After last time's success, Colin Kennedy kindly agreed once again to share his experience with Cut members. Last year I Love Luci won 'Best Short Film' at the Scottish BAFTAs, but now Colin is about to direct his debut feature film, so there will be even more advice on filmmaking to be given, and more interesting stories to be told.

The first 12 filmmakers will get in, and the list of participants will be released on facebook too.

Scriptwriting Group and Project Planning

Do you have a script or idea you'd like feedback on? Bring it to Cut's Scriptwriting Group this Tuesday(31st Jan)! Some of the Cut board plus members will be happy to read your scripts and give you suggestions for improvement. You can also have us read your script aloud - this can help you create more natural dialogue.Don't have a clue about writing scripts? We can explain a bit about how to format a film script, and give you some suggestions for story structure.

This event will also be the first planning session for Cut's upcoming BIG PROJECT. If you'd like to be a part of writing, planning, shooting, and editing a film as part of a group, come along! No film-making experience is necessary. This will just be an exchange of ideas and a bit of brain-storming at this stage.

We'll be at Offshore coffee shop on Gibson Street from 7pm (31st Jan), come along and join us!
